Git sucks - ask me why
So how do I do a checkout of a partial subtree in GIT? How do I allow read access to only a part of the repository and to it's history?
There's things that git can't do that SVN can do. SVN works for me in ways that git never can and you try to tell me that SVN sucks? That the centralized model is flawed by principle? Yes, there's things that git can do that SVN can't and never will. There's other things that git is better at but SVN is improving at the moment.
But there's one thing that I really love about SVN - there's no SVN advocates running around insulting other VCS users in the way that GIT apostles try to force me over to their system. There's a slight difference between saying "GIT is cool" and "Anything else but GIT sucks." I can accept the former statement and still have a different opinion but the second statement is just an outright insult. But hey, maybe it's just because GIT wants to be SVN, somewhere deep down in their heart.
